Welcome to my notebook.
After a career in cybersecurity, I’ve learned to value precision, logic, and concrete data. I bring that same mindset to my Bible studies. I believe the most responsible way to understand God’s Word is to look at the "code" behind it: the historical setting, the cultural nuances, and the grammatical structure.
I’ve been a Sunday School teacher for over two decades and currently serve as the technical coordinator for a STEM club at a local Christian school. This blog is where my love for technical analysis meets my passion for the Gospel. I’m not here as a finished expert, but as a student sharing my notes. My prayer is that these observations help you grow in your faith or provide answers if you are currently seeking the Truth.
What I Believe
The Word of God
The Holy Scriptures
Method of Study
My study is rooted in a literal, historical-grammatical interpretation of the text. I primarily utilize the English Standard Version (ESV) for its formal equivalence and literary beauty, while frequently consulting the NASB and CSB to provide a well-rounded understanding of the original intent.
Original Languages: Because I believe God revealed His truth through specific words and grammar, I incorporate study of the original Biblical Greek and Hebrew to bridge the gap between ancient context and modern application.
The Triune God
I believe in one God, eternally existing in three equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity.
The Person of Jesus Christ
I believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. I hold to His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, and His substitutionary death on the cross as the only sacrifice for sin. I believe in His physical resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, and His future, personal return in power and glory.
Salvation by Grace: I believe that salvation is a gift from God, received solely through faith in the person and finished work of Jesus Christ. It is by grace alone, through faith alone, and not as a result of human works or merit. All who truly repent and believe are justified by His blood and born again by the Holy Spirit.
